I might actually get a zucchini this year. I have been having a difficult time growing them here though they are normally easy to grow. This year the first two zucchinis turned yellow and fell off when they were still tiny. My third zucchini looks like it might mature. Yay

A favorite TV show called HAWAIIAN GROWN
Its about our produce and food hosted by Grant Kawasaki--a cardiologist, --would you believe--- here he is showing off our Hawaiian-grown head cabbage . . . in tight pants and Lucky Charms.

Is that a Hawaiian accent? Why do they sound like Mexicans? What's a manahuni? Do you have fast moving clouds there?

He's more Japanese than Hawaiian. I don't know if its in this video but a lot of Hawaians speak a kind of pidgin English --- like IZ does.
Manahuni is a Polynesian deity . . . their shrines are all over the place. If you're not careful, you'll probably step on one.

I'd probably make an offering if I was them. A peanut butter sandwich works

It's the end of September almost, and there is still NO pumpkin in my pumpkin patch! Time to clear it out. I'll be buying some pumpkins in the store for carving, and baking with in October.
I was lucky enough to get 2 zucchini though in my zucchini patch. It was also doing poorly all summer, many small zucchini fell off before being large enough to pick. I am happy with my two though I do wish there had been a few more.
We also got one good size cantaloupe, and there are many more cantaloupe outside but they probably won't ripen now since it's quite cold these days.
We have soooooooooo many tomatoes! Too many. I would estimate we have picked hundreds literally of tomatoes. My family is getting so sick of them. We are constantly brainstorming how to get rid of them in a nice way.

You can make FRIED GREEN TOMATERS! Just like in the movie! Tomatoes haf to be green though, becuz they are firmer than red, and wont fall apart so easy.

Most of the tomatoes are red! They are ripening at an alarming rate now and we have already picked soooooooo many!

I made too much of that vegan stuff. We'll be eating it for days. I ate a bit more and added soy sauce, didn't help it, ranch dressing, didn't help it, chili sauce didn't help it either. Tomorrow I'll try adding thyme or oregano. I don't really have many things I can try. It doesn't taste like anything, but I have discovered that I don't really like the taste of cumin. Why do vegans add cumin to everything?
