Sorry all, I was working. Thank you ALL of you for your good wishes. I bought black Asics trainers. Trainers are the only shoes I can wear these days. Chronic bilateral Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis means that without my wonderful trainers (with orthotics and heel raisers inserted) I can only hobble about like an ancient Chinese woman with bound and deformed feet. Wombat bought me three cds including the latest by Anoushka Shankar, called Traveller. Brilliant. Last night we went to a lovely Italian restaurant, where I had rare Tuna steak with rocket and radicchio with pancetta cooked in balsamic, and Wombat had octupus with rocket and potato. Both delicious! We'll be going again.

According to my new acupuncturist, I have a Yin deficiency. This includes gall bladder, kidney and liver issues and a lack of 'moisture' causing 'withering' - all Chinese medicine technical terms. ;D This leads to shortening of the tendons (Achilles and shoulders) and mucho pain. So, I hobble and cannot reach over my shoulder to scratch my back, but have to use a bamboo scratcher. My gall-bladder deficiency means I cannot shut off my mind to sleep, and so I have chronic insomnia. Where has this amazing practitioner been before now? Anyway, the treatment today was painful but therapeutic and I have to eat lots of yellow and orange foods along with bitter foods such as rocket (who knew?) and radicchio. And drink more water. And see her twice a week till further notice.

Yellow & orange foods. Hurmmmm ... Waaah, you need cheez doodles! Sacks of it! And golden fried chickun & golden fried fish chips & giant golden omelets! Whut a smart acupuncturist! PS. For true bitturness, eat that Philippine veggie called *ampalaya* or bittur melon. Ick.

Killed myself laughing over that hysterical vid. Thank you very much. Just what I needed to end off a great day. Wombat took me out to dinner with Ratty and another friend. We were supposed to go to a place called The Stoned Crow, but there were too many Mance Rayders or Crows or stones or something so we ended up at the Bravo Trattoria a little further down the street. An excellent choice recommended by Ratty, who appears to be something of a connoisseur of local eateries. The meals were all delish. I had fillet of barramundi oven baked with fresh herbs & sun-dried tomato dressing, Wombat had Veal Parmigiana, Di had the Seafood Risotto and Ratty had a pasta dish. We shared an Italian salad. We followed that with totally scrumptious gelati and in the meantime Wombat had skilfully hidden a gluten-free orange cake from me and out it came with candles and the birthday song. Despite it being quite chilly lately we ate outside under a pavement heater and it was lovely.

Happy Birthday O Great and Powerful Avril! I think I want to eat all of that, especially the gelati. What is a barramundi? Is it an incredibly cute animal that will make me cry when I google it and see it's cuteness?

Ratty is a real person? I thought he wuz a New Zealand pasta!
I love anything parmigianic. Although that pic of greens looks too greenish. Maybe theres bacon bits hidden beneath.
