Those people are so annoying. However, I do like the show. It's amazing how much of a difference diet can make. Why didn't they just eat desserts in those old days? It seems dessert was the best part.

Actually, even the desserts suck! Until I saw this show (which didnt get on Youtube until very recently so now, everyone can see it!), I hadnt realized how truly dreadful English food is! Like that horrid pie in which one baked assorted entrails, and then, the cook wuz supposed to use the same 2 inch thick pastry for other pies for the whole week! Eeeeek! No wonder, Restoration poopy made the Thames a stew of infection! Although I think I would haf looked quite fetching in one of those mens wigs. ;D PS. Look for the Roman series on Youtube. They haf mice rolled in honey! Thats great. Type *Supersizers Go ...* on youtube search. Theres also Edwardian, Regency, medieval, even food from the 70s. I havent seem them it all but Im checking them out. The really fine thing about this series ... that unctuous voice that announces the Courses. Claret .. it sighs. Heh.

Yes, it's pretty weird what they ate. Almost like cooking had just been invented and before then people used to eat animals raw. Why was cooking invented anyway? Foods have more vit-a-mins raw. I like how British people say vi-ta-mins.

The Restoration cooks dont season much, I cant tells ya. Everything is sort of beige & chunky (even the cheese!) except for the food of that dreadful man Cromwell. At least, he roasted his meats to a golden juicy muchness.

I watched the Roman episodes last night. I would eat that! Except I would invent a better honey mustard sauce.

Elizabethan should be more interesting becuz they didnt have good hygiene yet. Hahaha! Although it seems that Restoration hygiene was even worser than Roman. And they had things in Elizabethan Age (which came before Victorian becuz Queenie Victoria wuz late 19th century) like Swan on a Plate and 4 & 20 blackbirds baked into a Pie! Victorian cuisine is more elaborate and the food is not so beige & raw anymore, due to the influence of the snooty French chefs.

There's a blog about making all the recipes of meals in the Game of Thrones books, one by one. Robert Baratheon's favourite meal. www.innatthecrossroads.com/

Hey Shoey, why don't you make some of these recipes and have Tyler eat them. He probably wouldn't mind eating a chicken head since he eats baby birds. ;D
I want to see what they ate in Biblical times because I still don't understand burnt offerings. They sound like barbecues to me. Were the Levites grill masters?

Are those divilled eggs in Kings Landing? In Biblicul Times, they ate unleavened bread becuz there wuz no leaven available at the grocers. The Israelites also ate dates & whutever the Egyptians had as leftovers.
