I demand the return of the horse & carriage! How can one be romantic widout a smelly horse somewhere in the picture? Also the everyday use of boots polished wid champagne and the skillful tie of ones cravat, which shall be known in London as PLites Inexpressible! (Hokay, so I jest browsed through one of my mums Georgette Heyers while sitting in the loo.)

This is probably one of the best parts of the film . . . Emma who is so protective of her dad has never left the estate . . . and she finally sees the ocean with her new hubby, Mr. Knightley--a luscious Johnny Lee Miller. (I'm not crazy about this Emma though. I guess I have been spoiled by Gwyneth Paltrow.)

Wasnt Alice always slightly crazy though? That wuz so sad,
I haf always liked Gwynnie as EMma but I think Romola has pullled ahead slightly for me in the Best Austen heroine races. But Gwynnie wuz a lot better than Romola during the Scolding by Mr Knightley -- you really felt Gwynnies total shame & sorrow. Romola seemed merely mortified & embarrassed.

I love the song in this video, and I think the brides dress is very pretty.
