We got a Brit neighbour who has all the episodes shipped to him by his kids. He and his wife retired here in Hawaii so we are really familiar with QI.
As Americans we understand a lot of it. Maybe 85%. It helps though that we watch a lot of British TV like Graham Norton and the BBC channel. Those who don't might be at a disadvantage.
Here's the toddlers' favorite part of the show! THE BUZZERS! HAHA

They had a marathon on that Rich and Homeless show on Planet Green last night and I watched about half of it. It wasn't really about the rich people, it was more about homelessness. That raving lunatic turned out okay. He even tried to help someone but he does have a short temper. I thought the Indian guy was the nicest until he didn't help his friend and he told some lady to sod off when she woke him up to offer him a fag. (Cigarette. I love British words.) I didn't hear what happened at the end because Tanya called and I had to turn down the TV to talk to her on the phone. Did the rich people give the homeless shelter and homeless people millions of pounds? I would have given the hostels pounds. That guy was hairy.

Which guy wuz hairy? We have a lot of them here. Well, yeah, of course it wuz about homelessness becuz we already know how boring rich people are. Rich people are clean, wear nice clothes, smell tolerable, amble around their castles in smoking jackets & smoking fags; read to their cats on pillowy couches, and pose carelessly in front of their Jaguars. But whut do most of us know about poor people? We see them out of the corner of our eye, sleeping in abandoned doorways, huddled in greasy unwashed coats & knitted caps, stinking of cigs and alcohol. Perhaps we notice them when they stumble up to us, asking for money (they never ask for food) and we hurriedly dig around in our pockets for change becuz we’re in a tearing hurry. Or perhaps we just rush by and ignore them altogether, becuz its inconvenient to stop and this is England after all, and no one here has ever died of hunger, right? I liked this show. I think it shocked a lot of viewers and it shocked the rich peeps who participated. I think they were shocked that people stopped looking at them, and they became part of the landscape of urban blight. Still, in the end, they all went home to their warm & well-lit somewhut famous lives (seriously, who knows who these people are, outside of Britoon?) and even if they wept a little, I still have to wondur if they will start throwing money at Oxfam and all those seedy hostels. PS. That fat marquis (heir to a dukedom) who quit after a couple of nights wuz a disgrace! The soap opera actor wuz a tad overdramatic in the early going.

Yes I did see it live.... Although, technically I believe they showed the Monday evening. As I went to the Tuesday, by then he had tired a Tim Tam and rather enjoyed it.
