Have you guys ever seen this extended version of the Romantic Swordfight on the lake from HERO? I dont believe very many people realize how long this scene is. Pigsnit got the extended version from China and I believe this wuz only released in China.

I saw Hero when it first came out. I can't remember if it was the extended version here or not.
Fantastic wire work and cinematography, though.

No. I never new there would be an extended version.. Like Avril, I saw this film in the cinemas. I thoroughly enjoy the series of film directed by Zhang Yimou & Ang Lee's Couching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

I believe this scene only came out on DVD. The cinema version is only 1/3 as long. Zhang is just a magnificent colorist.
