LIL, I don't know much about Dr. Who either! I think they replace him every other season or something? Or does he die a lot? And returns?

He regenerates every couple of seasons in another body. He is a Time Lord, after all, with millennia under his belt. David Tennant was really good. I stopped watching when he regenerated. and Catherine Tate played The Bride in the penultimate season. Hysterical. www.imdb.com/media/rm31168768/nm0855039

Dr Who seems to get younger & more vapid in every reincarnation.

The BBC sets used to be made of cardboard and could be relied upon to wobble and shake whenever anyone opened or closed a door. Among Dr Who's arch enemies were the Daleks, aliens in large knobbly tin cans on wheels.
