BAFTAS on right now. (Equivalent of Oscars.)
SKYFALL won Best British Film. That's a First for a Bond. BTW, Affleck left his wifey Jennifer Garner alone a lot on the red carpet. Mostly he posed wid George Clooney. Tsk tsk tsk.

LINCOLN won Best Art Direction or something. Also Best Actor Daniel Day Lewis. they didn't win much. I HATE ARGO! Stupid movie that made up stuff about Americun Rescue from Iran. Lots of pretending! The movie didn't even mention that the Canadians were seriously involved in the rescue. And the airplane chase in the end wuz totally fake. I HATE ARGO! LIES LIES LIES!
But Im glad LIFE OF PI won 4 awards: Best Director (Huzzah, Ang Lee!), Best Score, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography.

Did you see Les Miserables? Do you think what's her face deserved the Oscar? Her or Sally Fields? Did you like the Oscars? I thought it was boring.

If I don't like any of the nominees, I don't watch The Oscars. The last time I watched it wuz becuz I wanted THE KINGS SPEECH to win! I didn't watch last year becuz I didn't like THE ARTIST. Boooring.
I don't think you should win or be nominated for Oscars for singing sad songs, but everyone who stars in a musical seems to be getting noms for that. Bleech. No, Anne Hathaway didn't deserve that Oscar. I don't feel anything for Sally Field. But I hated tha host Seth MacFarlane; whut a tacky guy. Where do they dredge up these crap hosts anyway? From the Sewer? They should get Tina Fey or something.

I would have thought you'd like The Artist. It was in black in white. I feel the same about the Oscars. I also think people don't need to win one every year. If all the nominees suck it should be okay to not award a prize for that this year. They should have standards instead of just picking the least crappy of the crappy.

I only like black & white movies if they were made before 1950. Hodderwise, there is no reason for any movie to be black & white unless you want to be manipulative, particularly during Oscar Time. (ie. SCHINDLERS LIST. Holocaust is more tragic in black & white than it would be in colour. Thinks about it.)
