Have you seen The Descendants? Clooney is amazing. I've never seen such a range of emotion in his face. Brilliant. Good message, too. I wonder what Freddie thinks. Freddie?
No real surprise about Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Too subtle, too British.

Eek, I just noticed War Horse is among those nominated for Best Picture. They have got to be kidding. It made me want to puke, and not just for the gratuitous simulated cruelty. Even the most sparkly horse poo covered in sentimental glitter is still horse poo.

They should haf nominated the play, not the movie, and frankly, it wuz the horse puppets that won the audience over. Ughhhh, Spielburg is sech an Oscar shill. I suppose we should be grateful TINTIN went nowhere. WHut a Snooze. Zzzzzzzzzzz ... Same thing wid THE DESCENDANTS ... bleech .. who cares? THE ARTIST. Dont understand the praise for THE ARTIST. Seems like a pretty lightweight movie. I'd rather watch BRIGADOON. CORIOLANUS should haf been nommed, but then, TITUS wasnt noticed either, in its day. Maybe if Clooney baked his kids into a pie & shoved it down his wifes feeding tube. PS. If youve never seen a range of emotion on Clooney's face, thats probably becuz he never had much to begin wid. Instead of a range of A-B, its now expanded to A-C. Every actor in TINKER TAILOR is 10x better than he is.

Nope he's not gay. He is intelligent though. A Separation is about an Iranian man and wife split by her need to leave the country to look after their child in the best way possible, and his need to stay with his aging father, who has Alzheimer's. Trailer here: www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2758057497/

Fines and Day Lewis need awards at some point in their lives if they haven't won any already. Clooney should go back to tv if he wants an award. He's not in the same class as them and yet he's being a crybaby because he doesn't have an Oscar. Can't stay long, don't know if my computer is going to die.

Daniel Day Lewis already has an Oscar for MY LEFT FOOT. He deserved that becuz he wuz all horny & obnoxious in his wheelchair, left foot being a eupehmishm for horny. Im not sure about Ralph Fiennes though -- dont think he has an Oscar yet. But he's still young. On the other Gary Oldman is already 54ish! He deserves an Oscar!
Whuts being gay got to do wid being intelligent? I think Hugh is FEARLESS! He can sing & dance and his wife looks kinda old! Yay ! There should be more actors like him.

I guess I mean Hugh is not a macho yobbo, and he's smart. In some parts of the world, that's enough to earn you a gay tag.

I read in some forums that Americuns think he's gay becuz of his gyrating hips in his hit Broadway show. Yarrrrr.

Maybe that's because before he played Wolverine in The X-Men and Van Helsing he played the gyrating Peter Allen in A Boy From Oz on Broadway. And don't forget his sartorial elegance and excellent manners in Kate and Leopold.
Bit ambiguous that, to some people.

British & Oztralian actors haf absolutely no problem playing gay characturs, so their blood must be superbly ambiguous. Even Anthony Hopkins played (wonderfully, I might add) the gay traitor spy Guy Burgess in BLUNT. The *I Always thought it was a high class boat* scene. Hahaha!
