I always have heaps of eggshells in my compost. My tomatoes are always volunteers.

That's my stupid password? Who knew. Anyway, no garden here. Too much drama with everything going on to plant a fall garden. My garden is barren except for some sweet potatoes and onions which come up on their own. I also have a 3 year old eggplant which refuses to go and a small squash plant that just sprouted. I have a few things indoors on the window sill but they are a mystery. They came from seed I acquired at a seed exchange and I didn't label them. So sad but hey. Life intrudes. I still have a pile of wood chips and another pile of compost to spread out. Autumn is a good time for that so no worries. My blackberry bush died while we were at the hospital and my fig almost died too but I watered it and it sprang back to life. My grapes also had a close call. It's been hard to garden since all the drama began on August 6th. I wonder if there's anything I can plant right now. I must consult charts.
