There is a big egg scare going on here in the States. They have recalled millions of eggs because of salmonella. Maybe you ate bad eggs.

www.cbs47.tv/news/local/story/Egg-Recall-Grows-to-380-Million/g3y_7_XFTEuByDlshCz61A.cspx?rss=153WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal health officials say a salmonella outbreak that has sickened hundreds and led to the recall of hundreds of millions of eggs will likely grow. The Centers for Disease Control says that's because illnesses occurring after mid-July may not have been reported yet. Almost 2,000 illnesses from the strain of salmonella linked to the eggs were reported between May and July, about 1,300 more than usual. No deaths have been reported. California, Colorado and Minnesota have tied illnesses to the outbreak, while Arizona, Illinois, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin have seen spikes or clusters of suspicious cases. The recall of 380 million eggs from Iowa's Wright County Egg is 1 of the largest shell egg recalls in recent history. A Food and Drug Administration spokeswoman says the outbreak could have been prevented if new rules to ensure egg safety had been in place a few months earlier. P-1026 P-1413 P-1946

Wow a four egg omelet is still a pretty big breakfast. I had an omelet with 3 eggs once and I thought I would explode after. I usually just have omelets with 2 eggs in them.
We had a lovely unexpected visit from my aunt this evening. : ) I'm soo sleepy now time for bed.

Will someone please help these poor Pakistanis! I too haf been guilty of thinking less of their plight becuz their disaster did not come in as spectacular a fashion as that tsunami years ago. But I know now that Pakistan is DIRE! SO I haf resumed my collection throughout the neighbourhood & will scrape a little more from my piggy bank. il.youtube.com/watch?v=Gniq3TTwRQw&feature=related

We are collecting money to buy those plastic ponchos and raincoats that you can fold into small squares. And food that isn't bulky or need heat in order to eat. Like granola bars. Also tee-shirts. And water purifiers. In monsoon areas, the biggest challenge is to stay dry and keep illness away.

The problem in SOuth Asian countries (or Asia in general) is its ALways A HUMID HEAT. Even when theres no floods, you are always hot & sticky. AND DEHYDRATED! In spite of the floods, they actually need more CLEAN WATER to deink! I dont know who is worse off now, Pakistan or Haiti.
