Titanic 3D.
Nice to see it again - and to appreciate it in ways I didn't the first time. Not sure that the so-called '3D' made all that difference though.

Is this the one wid Leonardo & Kate? Why bother wid the 3d? Victor Garber wuz the best actor in that movie & they should have shown him drowned.

Leo and Kate, yes. Looking impossibly young even though it was only 1997 when Titanic was released. Wombat was recently a featured extra in Great Gatsby where Baz Luhrmann called Leo 'D' throughout filming. Wombat says 'D' has aged considerably since Titanic. As do we all. Few manage to carry it off as gracefully as Victor Garber, though, I agree.

Leonardos face works against him. No one can take him seriously. Hes just a kid, we all tink. Now Wombut can play anyone and he commands respect! TITANIC wuz 15 years ago! Best scenes wuz when Victor was explaining wid the blueprint that they are all DOOMED and when all the passengers clanged noisily against the railings as the ship tilted vertical! Hahahah! And the best death was when Leo slipped beneath the oceans, frozen as a popsicle. This scene from the 1953 TITANIC trumps anything Cameron made. Made me weep, it did. Cameron never made me cry, not once.

Uhm.. what? lol. That looks interesting. How was it? Interesting.... The film takes place when Carl Jung was first implementing a form of therapy that was inspired by Freud.. Jung is concerned that Freud's idea that most if not all neurosis are based on sexual developmental stages that an adult has not progress through... So Sabina, Keira, is the catalyse for Jung suppressed sexual desires. One of Jung's other patient, Otto Gross, is a sex addict who encourages Jung to not suppress his own sexual urges. In the end Jung does seduced Sabina. This does not sit well with Jung as he is married with children and religious. He does not want anyone to know. But it seems people talk and even Freud is aware that Jung has a mistress. Jung does not like this, so denies to Freud that this is true. Sabina sends Freud a letter telling him of her affair with Jung but Jung denies this yet again and Freud distances himself from her. The struggle between the men. Father son roles were being played out between them. This struggle ended with the two of them ending their friendship. This was new territory of therapy the two were exploring. My vote? Worth watching for the curiosity of these two formidable forces come to life.

Olivier, Olivier... A film direction by Agnieszka Holland, is based on a true story about a young boy disappearing from the family home. The male neighbour, we are told, is the last to see him. The father leaves his wife and daughter for Africa to pursue a career as a vet.
After six years the boy appears to return. The mother is over joyed that she has found her son. The father returns. The sister, however suspects he is not whom everyone thinks he is.
Unfortunately, this is the only trailer of the film I watched last night.
This second clip has English subtitles. Where the police officer 'finds' the boy.

Just watched MANON OF THE SPRING. And this is my favourite heartbreaking scene, when Ugolin runs after Manon (Ugolin is all dressed up too in new hunting togs), screaming his love for her. So sad. Its all Frenchified but I understand most of it, methinks. I'll do anything for you, Manon! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! But she runs away in disgust.

I was delighted to see that we had a short Anime festival happening in town. I saw three Animes and I found I enjoyed Wolf Children the best..
