Interesting isn't it.
Remember Katrina, and how Americans unused to being in catastrophe complained and complained, as though someone should be looking after them. We don't hear of flood devastated Pakistanis complaining in that way, because they're so used to disaster, poverty, death, disease, loss.
I'm sure I would be feeling utterly miserable in the shoes of these denizens of the comfort-zone, because comfort and ease is what I seek and expect (even though I'm not rich).
You can see similar culture shock on a very minor scale on Survivor when Americans used to temperature controlled, comfortable environments with plenty of hot water, drinking water and food are completely confounded when they realise shortly after on arrival on their tropical paradise that they'll have none of those things. That wind, rain, sun, thirst, hunger as well as sneaky fellow Survivors will need to be handled so they can start to feel on an even keel.
The most resilient of the Survivors, as well as the 'rich-and-homeless', I'm willing to bet, 'cause I haven't seen this show, are those with no sense of entitlement but inner resources of acceptance, opportunism, good humour and adaptability.
