Here I shall share my experiences in the garden..
I'm not doing any gardening today, because I go work a 12 hour night shift in a couple hours.
I will give you an update on those invasive caterpillars I showed you in my video. They have started to form their cocoons though and they are everywhere in the yard, and all over the outside of the house.
I'll probably go outside tomorrow after I sleep and remove some from the house. The really do not belong on the sides of buildings especially when my parents are trying to sell the house right now.

Eek! You need a bat house. Bats eat moths and mosquitos. Are there any bats in Canada?

Today I bought some Cosmos seeds I intended to go to a garden center and buy a very large quantity of already blooming marigolds, but instead I got a call to work while I was shopping for some muffin tins I bought for Tyler. Anyways I couldn't refuse tonight's 12 hour night shift because it was overtime. So I scrapped my big gardening plans for the day to rest for my night shift. I'll head to the garden center on my next day off to get my large amount of marigolds. I just sprinkled my Cosmos seeds out in the flower garden area. I didn't dig them in or cover them in any soil. Hopefully some of them will sprout. I got the bright lights mix which are vibrant shades of orange and red. I think they will go well with our orange poppies that are blooming right now which were all self seeded. Here is a photo of what they look like

Yeah, you dont haf to bury cosmos seeds -- just prinkle on top of soil & water. Or you could also throw handfuls of soil/compost on top of seeded areas. You dont need a lot. Also, some cosmos plants root deep -- that is, when you pull them out of the ground after they haf dried up, you might grab large chunks of soil clinging to the roots.

Yay for Cosmos! Ohh, I like the orange! I think some of mine have sprouted. At least two. I would go outside and check but it's 39C here. I don't like marigolds.

Well I did end up planting tons of marigolds and 95% of them are now gone! Did I mention the neighborhood rabbit made a nest under our patio (over a month ago) and now we have 4 baby bunnies running around the yard. They seem to have claimed our yard as their home. Unfortunatly their were 5 bunnies but one of the HUGE neighborhood cats ate one (and left some evidence) . I'm not a fan of cats. I always chase it out of the yard when ever I see it. Anyways the bunnies ate most of the vegetable garden, and many other plants. I'll have to do a video soon and maybe they will make a guest appearance if I'm lucky.

I thinks marigolds repel insicts of some kind. Or maybe they just repel Sunfrog. Marigolds, chrysanthemums and daisies are all nematicidal - tehy all repel nematodes. They are excellent next to roses.

Sounds like you need a rabbit proof fence around your garden. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit-proof_fence

When I was little I had a pet rabbit that looked like this one. He was my favorite pet of all time because he would watch tv with me and sleep with me and hop on the bed to wake me up in the morning and whenever I opened the fridge door he would hop in and eat the lettuce. I don't think I ever named him but my dad used to call him carajito, which means someone who does things he's not supposed to do. Don't google that. Heh. It's also similar to conejito, which means little rabbit.
