Why dont you wear a surgicle mask? Your hospital must haf lots! I HATE wearing them. Masks of all kinds! The one time I had to do my operating room rotation and I had to wear one for the whole time I first put my mask on too tight and then I almost passed out from last of air in the operating room. I made a quick exit when I felt like I was beginning to hyperventilate.

Yay the air is a fair bit cleaner this morning! The smoke still remains but things are looking up. I'm thinking about attempting a jog hopefully its not a horrible idea that I will regret later. I haven't gone in quite some time. Before the smoke hit, I had a nasty short lived cold, so it feels like ages since I have gotten any exercise.

Why not go to a gym for a couple of days where it is nice & airconditioned?

I went for my jog and after overall I feel better then before I went so yay. The air is about 89% back to normal. It's just a bit hazy, nothing like it was before, and the smell of smoke is gone. Thank goodness. I hope I never have to breathe in that much smoke again. Yuck.
I went to the waterfront as usual for my jog. I could smell a little bit of the sea air (which I love). It wasn't nearly as strong as I would have liked, but hopefully in a few days it will be.

Why not go to a gym for a couple of days where it is nice & airconditioned? I have had enough of gyms to last me quite a few years...I like gyms but I have been to them quite a lot in my life, and I get bored with them easily. I like jogging outdoors because its always a new experience every day. There are different people out and about, different sights on the ocean where I go (the waterfront), so it's more interesting. When I am interested I can go for a lot longer then when I am bored.

Wow. Do you ride? Are you into dressage? Like National Velvet?

I want a horse! I wonder if it's legal to ride one on the street. I could tie it to the bike rack at work.

Wow. Do you ride? Are you into dressage? Like National Velvet? I did horseback riding for 3 years when I was quite young. I loved it. I did English riding (jumping, and dressage, mostly jumping though), western riding, and bareback riding, with some trail rides every now and then. I haven't ridden since Tyler took me horse back riding for my birthday three years ago (which was so fun).

I love horseback riding too. I think I learned to ride before I could walk. There's a picture of me as a baby somewhere with little fat legs sticking out over the vast girth of Tom Thumb, the Shetland pony I learned on. Too short to reach the stirrups, my feet are wedged into the stirrup leathers. I have a very silly grin on my face. ;D

We had our first rainfall in a few months today, that lasted a few hours. The rain has stopped now and the air is cool and refreshing outside. It feels so nice

Here's it's only the second day we've not had rain, for weeks! Beautiful sunny day and a deep blue sky.

Here it rains at night when everyone is asleep. Pretty weird. Usually it rains at 3:00 PM. It's so regular you can set your watch by it. It's done this since I was a child. Always at 3:00 PM. Not anymore. It's a sure sign of global warming. I can't complain though. Global warming has brought us nicer weather. It hasn't been over 110 F for two years now.
