Is it easy for you to nap? Like can you nap standing up? Or as soon as you are horizontal --- you are asleep? Do you wake up--fresh? Or are you groggy?

sometimes it's easy to nap, and sometimes I just can't sleep. Nope I have never slept in any position other then laying down. Usually I'm groggy for a short time after and then fresh.

At one period in my life when I was sleeping only three hours a night, I used to fall asleep at traffic lights, in lifts (standing up) and anytime I sat down for more than a minute.

It's sooooo hot out today! It's around noon and it's already 30 degrees C. There is very little wind too. I can't stand to be outside. We don't have a/c (it is rare for houses here to have a/c), but the house at 26 degrees C feels almost like it has a/c compared to the outside. I can't imagine how hot it will be later today. Yesterday was the hotest day of the year so far at 34 degrees C and I think today will be hotter.

Does that make you think about climate change? and how other weather systems are changing due to pollution. I believe this year, here in Oz, we've had a very wet winter. I've heard people say that it usually is a dry winter. The heavy rains usually come in early spring. But I have notice our summers have been extremely hot in some months of the year. Darwin is capital city in the northern party of Australia, I've notice all winter that the temperature there hasn't gone below thirty degrees. Oh course this part of Australia is near the equator and also has the tropic of capricorn running below Darwin.

Dragrat, I suggest reading State of Fear by Michael Crichton, it will open your eyes on the global warming issue. It's fiction, but it's based on many real facts and things that are happening (he cites sources) and it's very frightening.

The same Michael Crichton who wrote Prey!! Interesting read. I'll have a look one day, when I actually have time to read non-fiction.

Eik! My ears almost grew over!! It was a major struggle to get my earrings in. I guess it serves me right for not wearing any for a couple of months.... I hope I have learned my lesson..

I feel really good today. I often don't feel that good, or feel just okay. Between my wacky work hours, huge amount of sleep loss, and my allergies I generally have more days when I don't feel well or feel kind of okay but have no energy then I have good days or days when I feel well and energized.
Today I feel really good. My allergies are barely noticeable and I have energy. I wish I had more days like this. I wonder if it has anything to do with the killer workout I put myself through 2 days ago. I did 11 sets of 20 sit-ups among other things, and I can still feel it in my abs 2 days later.

Yup! I love doing all kinds of ab exercises but unfortunately I am plagued by a long standing problem that happens as a result of them. I get skin torn off around my tail bone area whenever I do them (ab exercises of most kinds). This has been a problem since I was a gymnast way back.
I have tried so many different things to correct the problem, different types of clothing, using different surfaces (hardwood, carpet, exercise mat), putting a protective dressing over the area before exercising but nothing works.
My skin doesn't heal as fast as back when I was a teen, so after I do ab exercises I have to wait usually at least a week before I can do more because it's too painful. It's disappointing because often I want to do more while it's healing, but I know I shouldn't.
There was more weight machine at the gym I use to belong to that I got a great ab work out with that didn't tear my skin, but I don't go there any more. It's too far away since we moved, and not worth the membership price.

Here Shoey do these.
It doesn't look hard but it is. I hold for 30 seconds, rest, 30 seconds, rest, 30 seconds. Done. To make it harder just hold it for a longer time.
Here's another ab exercise. These shouldn't hurt your tailbone.
